It falls on 8th day of second fortnoght of Aswina masa. This is observed widely by Hindu devotees. They make fasting on the said day. The "Godhasa parbana puja" of goddess Durga ends on this day where the goddess is Pitha Devata. The sacrifice of "Pashu" like Mahisi, goats and cock and hens are made before the goddess on such day. This Ratri is one among four Ratries are konwn as "Maha ratries".

It falls on the last day of Oriya Aswina Masa. this is a social festival in Orissa. Girls putting on new dresses perform puja to both "Surya and Chandra" i.e, in the morning and evening to get groom like "Kumar". In other words "Kartikeya" son of Siva is most handsome among the gods.

It falls on the 14th, 15th & 16th day of Kartika Masa in Oriya calender. This is a socio-religious festival in Orissa. Kali puja falls on Krishna "Chaturdarshi" i.e, the day of the month, Dipavali on the 15th day and Bhatru Dwitiya on the 16th day. Goddess Kali i.e, "Mahakali Sakti" of Adisakti is worshipped on the sais night. This "Ratri" is told in "Jantra Sastra" as "Gaghra Ratri" one out of four ratries where the Hindu Devotees have to go without sleep and surrender themselves before the goddess "Shyama" i.e, Kali "Flaming Dipas" are offered in all the temples and in houses. The people of Orissa take this "Darpa Dana" as "Mahat Punya" in favour of their forefathers who are supposed to be in the Heaven. "Paya Sradha" is also offered in each family house in favour of their ancestors. Bhatru Dwitiya is the symbol of worship to brother by the sisters. This is specially observed by the domiciled Bengali families settled in Orissa.

It falls on the month of May i.e, the day before Budha Purnima. This festival is largely observed in the temple Sri Nrusingha Nath, Paikmal in Sambalpur district and in other Nrusingha temples.

It falls on Sukla astami day of Oriya Chaitra masa and specially on the date the Aswami Tithi till madhan i.e, 12 noon. This is purely religious festival and observed prominently in Lingaraj temple at Bhubneswar. The Goddess Rukmini as Bije pratima of Harihar are taken outside on the car built for the purpose and carried in procession to Mausima temple. The speciality in the dragging of Car is that the Car is not turned on turning itself but drawn from the opposite side which is also taken as front side.

It falls on the last day of Oriya "Ashada Masa". This fetsival is called as "Vyasa Purnima". The day on which Vyasa dev could born specially.

This is also known as :Balavadra Janma". This festival is largely observed in the society of Orissa. "Balavadra Janma" is observed in Baladev Jew temples of Orissa and in Jagannath temples where Balavadras are worshipped.

It falls on 8th day of the first fort night of "Bhadrava Masa". This festival is widely observed throughout the state and the country also. It is pre-told that in the night of the said day Lord Srikrishna took birth. This night is one among the far ratris and known as Maha Ratri. The Hindu devotees make fasting on this day.

It falls on the 4th day of second fortnight of Bhadrab month. The worship of Lord Vinayak i.e, Ganesh is worshipped on the said day. Ganesh is being the lord of "Vidya" and "Sidhi" is mainly worshipped by the "Vidyarthees". Large gathering is made at the Ganesh temple at panchama of Ganjama district.

It falls on Sukla Navami of Oriya Kartika masa. The goddess Jagadhatri as "Mahasaraswati sakti" is worshipped on the said day. "Anala Navami" is also observed on the said day specially in the temple of "Sakhi Gopinatha" at Sakhigopal, Where huge gathering is made to offer darshan to the "Skin foot" of "Radha Devi' on the said day. This is a fully religious festival and observed by "Gaudiya Vaishnava" Sadhus in the religious society.

It falls on the 15th day of Bhadrva Masa of Oriya calender. This festival is largely observed in the temples of southern part of Orissa specially in Ganjam District. "Seven pura" like sugar cane, coconut, rashi, cheese etc. are offered bhoga before the deities

It falls on the Bhadra Sukla Panchami day. This is a socio-religious function in the state of Orissa. It is largely observed in Sri samaleswari temple and in western Orissa.

It falls on the last day of the month "Bhadrab". This is specially observed in Sri Bhaawat temples.

This is observed more specially in Goddess temple where from "Navarata" puja of "Saradiya". This is also a social function where on the person who are observing "Aparpakshya" i.e, dedication towards ancestors by not saving themselves and not taking anything outside the home cooking finish their "para pana" on the said day intended to their ancestors.

It starts from the first day of Oriya Kartika month and ends on the last day of the month. This is taken as religious month in the society because the "Dharma" and the god devotis Dharma "Surya" retrograded in "Jula" house of zeodiac. All the persons both men and women and more specially widows observe this "Brata" night from the first day of Oriya "Kartika" month on sankalpa and fulfil the same on Kartika Purnima of last day of the month.

This is observed in Jagannath temple Puri and in "Goshalas" maintained by the religious society. This is purely religious function.

It starts from Sukla Dashami and ends on Purnima day of Oriya kartika month. This festival is observed by the Hindu devotees and purely religious festival.

It is also known as "Rahas Purnima". "Rasha Jhulana" of God Srikrishna and Radha are observed on that day. Mrunmaya Murthi of God "Kartikeya" is worshipped.
