It falls
on 8th day of Krishna pakshya of Oriya Margashira masa. This is widely observed throughout
the state. The eldest issue of the house-hold families wear new dress. "Enduri
cake" is prepared in every house and the eldest issue is worshipped. It is a
"Tantra Puja" of "Sasthi Devi" who blesses issues human being a
"Birhe' as Tantra Bhoga is offered as "Bhoga" in shape of Enduri cake. |

This festival are known as "Gurubar Mahalaxmi Puja". This is observed in each
and every Oriya family. While paddy crop which denotes Laxmi (goddess of
Wealth). Goddess is worshipped being
taken as symbol of "Laxmi". This is socio-religious festival. |

It
falls on 15th day of Oriya Pausha masa. This festival is a Socio-religious festival. The
cakes in shape of "Bakula" i.e, the flower of Mango is offered as Bhoga to the
deity. Every house-hold Oriya family also prepare this type of cake and threw to Mango
tree i.e, worship to Mango tree to produce more "Bakula" in the tree which will
finally shape in Mango fruits. In every temples this festival is observed.

The God Vishnu and the then Rajas are worshipped on the said day with new cloth. This
festival is the symbol of enthrownment of the highest ruling personality either ruling
Universe and the material estatea. On this day "Dadhikhela Yatra" is observed
and large gathering is made in the religious institution like Gopinath pur Matha in
Cuttack district. |

It falls on 15th of Oriya Magha masa. This festival is purely religious festival. The
Hindu devotees offer "Buda" during Magha month on the sais day which is treated
as Holy month. There is large gathering in Sri Biraja temple as the birth day of Goddess.

It falls on the last day of Oriya Magha month. This is a social festival. People of Orissa
make farewell to the winter by making fire ceremony in each village of the state. A large
gathering in the said festival is made at Joranda Gadi of Dhenkanal district where huge
quantum of Ghees are offered to the Akhanda Dipa. |

falls on 15th day of Oriya Chaitra masa. This is a purely socio-religious festival. The
Hindu devotees make "Buda" on the said day in the holy rivers and sea throughout
he state. Large gathering is made at Dashaswa medha ghat at Jajpur in the river
Vaitarani. |

on every Tuesday of Oriya Chita Amavasya. This is a socio-religious festival observed even
in the remote area of the state. Every women of the family make fasting for the getting
the grace of Goddess on the Said day. Large gatherings made on at Tara Tarini Hill in the
district of Ganjam. |
